    Check the Rock and Roll encyclopedia. Encyclopedia of Popular Music, Rock and Roll. It may be in the library under reference sources 65?.

    The other good one though it is outdated is The Encyclopedia of Rock, Pop and Soul.

    Either should help.

    allmusic.com may also be of help.

    good Luck should be an interesting list…. oh and I don’t think you’ll find any present, does "Rock n Roll" really exist in the present day with the exception of cover and tribute bands.
