The Beatles landed in 1964. In 1978, The Clash and U2 arrived during the second waves, better known as the new wave. What happened to the British groups of the 21st Century? Why haven’t they landed or did I miss something?

I agree, there haven’t been any impressive groups from the U.K. in a while, maybe that will change soon…btw, U2 arrived from Ireland.

As far as hits, Angie is up there. I forgot about Emotional Rescue, though, until I saw someone else’s answer. But as far as really disliking, as in can’t stand, I pick Stupid Girl. I never liked that one.

Hi, Rob here with another one of my brilliant Top 5 lists. Now as many of you know, nothing says Rock and Roll like the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame. Only the best and most deserved get the honor of being inducted into such a prestigious institution (Van Halen, Madonna etc)

Here is my Top 5 that need to be inducted into the RRHOF. I think you will agree with me

5.Nickleback- Not since Led Zeppelin has a rock band hit the scene with such drive. All their songs are instant classics and Chad Kroger is definately the next Robert Plant.

4.Avril Lavigne-You cant think of PUNK ROCK with out thinking of Avril. She is the true essence of what the punk movement is really about.

3.Jonas Brothers- This decades Alman Brothers. Their songs tell the true stories of teen angst and what its like to be a teenager in this day and age.No subject is too taboo for these guys.

2.Katie Perry- How is Joan Jett mentioned and not Katie. Is it because she refuses to go commercial and does her own thing instead? I think the people in the RRHOF need to lighten up a little.

1.Insane Clown Posse- A rap group that wears make-up. Absolutely brilliant. I’m sure their songs are great. I’m just too scared to listen to them.

So, who do you think deserves the honor of being in the Rock and Roll Hall Of Fame

Limp Bizkit – Their songs covered the most tender and sensitive issues of the modern time. And Fred Durst has such wonderful depth as a vocalist.

Ashley Simpson – I’m not sure rock as we know it could’ve survived without her massive contributions. And we already know what a dynamic performer she is live in concert.

Flobots – What an amazing concept, white man rap to an alternative back-beat, complete with political analysis courtesy of the average twelve year old mind.

The Ting Tings – Some of the most brilliant lyrics ever put to
"music", even Nickelback would be jealous of the skillful penmanship involved.

That song really just sums it all up doesn’t it? It makes me miss Robert Palmer even more. Did anyone ever rock an Italian suit the way he could? I think not. Great tune – thanks for the link!

The first one I thought of is "Cover Of The Rolling Stone" – Dr. Hook and The Medicine Show. Of course, that accomplishment used to mean a lot more than it does to me now… Joe Walsh "Life’s Been Good". Then there’s the mediocre Nickelback with "Rock Star" which I mention only due to some of the funny lines in it and that Billy Gibbons of ZZ Top does the deep voice questions…. Springsteen’s "Rosalita" – "cause the record company, Rosie, just gave me a big advance". I realize these songs make me sound like a total geek. lol.

BQ: Good picks. There are many – especially the ones that rhyme. But I’m thinking of Pink Floyd- Dark Side of The Moon. The time is gone, the song is over, Thought I’d something more to say. …

Hello, I’m 17 years old. I just got out of a relationship about two months ago, and it was a fairly bad break up. He went after my once best friend, and has called me names behind my back. I know it’s childish, anyways just some background information I thought would help you understand. Okay here’s the problem now that his rebound relationship has failed and I’m not talking to him anymore and I’m not paying attention to him (or so he thinks) he has really hit rock bottom with drugs. I don’t know exactly what he is doing, all I know is that he is doing them. Sure I haven’t seen him take any of it, but the stories that I have heard from his friends to me sound very believable. Thank God his Mother and I still have a close bond, and I did tell her about what I heard. She also commented that he was acting “different” and that she was very concerned. It really kills me that he is doing this, and I feel like I’m to blame for him doing these things.
here the rest of it ……(I didn’t break up with him) I’m just very afraid that he is going to do something that he won’t be able to reverse. And really hurt himself or God I hope this doesn’t happen but end up killed. So what should I do? I mean he does these things during school so I see close to all of it in front of my eyes and I want to say something to him but I don’t want to start even more problems with him. But If I must I rather him hat me than be 8 ft underground you know, so what should I do?

You have to look out for yourself no matter what the situation is.

You can let him know you care about his well being without committing yourself to him an another relationship.

He is going to have to want to help himself, nothing you say or do or anyone else is going to make a bit of difference to him if he does not want to hear it.

It is obvious he got in with the wrong crowd and you should be grateful you were not a part of it.

I think the best thing from here is to let his parents take care of their son. It is not you’re job to do it. And there is no reason for you to blame yourself for bad decisions others make in their lives.

Say a prayer for him and let him know you care that he is not doing well for himself. Let him know you are there if he needs a "friend".

And, then, move forward with you’re life.

My guess would be The Beatles.
