What do you think is the best indicator of "hitting rock bottom"?

Posted by admin on April 17th, 2010 and filed under rock and roll hits | 3 Comments »

a) eating frozen foods (i.e pies, sausage rolls or cakes etc) frozen, EVEN when you’re not dieing of starvation.

b) texting while on the toilet

c) eating a meat pie (aussie obviously) WITHOUT tomato sauce

d) talking to yourself… and just like having a conversation with another person, it is complete mindless babble.

yeah you can choose several i suppose

when are you deaf and you ask for help over the internet and on the phone and no one cares

Who else believes the music industry has hit rock bottom and…?

Posted by admin on April 15th, 2010 and filed under rock and roll hits | 9 Comments »

what "artist" provides the best example of how low the industry has fallen?

I miss the days of good old rock and roll and the great tunes of the 1980’s. No new music today comes close.

I completely agree. Music these days is complete crap. Everyone just grabs an instruement, learsn the most common scale and just tries to come up with something catchy right there, and it turns out to be nonsense compared to the gool old 70’s classic rock. Basically music has become a means of money making rather than a means of entertainment these days. Before, the bands actually enjoyed playing their music, and that was what made them great. Apart from that, there is techno to deal with. This is just as much as low as "music" can get. As fas as i’m concerned as a musician, that does not count as music. Random sounds do not count as music, neither do repetitive pieces going over and over. To get and artist which shows the best example of how low the industry has gone, just get any techno "artist", although in my eyes they are not artists, as they have not composed music.

I have some old LP records, will someone please tell me the rarity and value of each of these LP’s?

Posted by admin on April 13th, 2010 and filed under rock and roll hits | 1 Comment »

I have collected these and been handed down many of them but I am only 20 years old so I am not sure if any of these are extremely rare or worth much at all. If anyone can help me out it would mean a lot to me. I used to DJ so I am very familiar with LP’s but only LP’s of my time and I do enjoy older classics I just wish I knew more about them. In case I decide to sell them I just don’t want to get ripped off so I really hope someone can help.

Is anyone else angry that Rush isn’t yet in the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame?

Posted by admin on April 9th, 2010 and filed under rock and roll hits | 8 Comments »

They’ve been together since 1968, with the same line-up of Geddy Lee, Alex Lifeson and Neil Peart since 1974

18 studio albums, with the 19th due out May 1, 2007
5 live albums
6 compilation albums

11 #1 hits on the US mainsteam rock charts
25 other hits that made it on the US mainstream rock charts

RUSH FANS UNITE! Let’s get these guys in the Rock & Roll Hall Of Fame!

Back in the late 70’s we (some friend and I ) thought that they should have been. I still do. The group is a classic. All the shows sold out and we couldn’t get enough of them. MTV came along and added fuel to the fire by airing their videos. Wow, what a show they would put on!! 2112 has to be my all time favorite RUSH album. I just wish I could remember when they changed their name from Mahogany Rush.
