I was thinking 50s rock and roll but I think it has been done a bit much. The girls are aged 7-11 years.
High school musical lol
I have all the Beatles songs so please don’t put them! I’m looking for not very well known amazing songs or ones that are your own personal favourites. I’m looking for good songs that for example Tarantino would choose on his films cos he has amazing retro taste. Thanks
"All Shook Up"
"Blue Suede Shoes"
"Rock Around the Clock"
"Chances Are"
"The Twelfth of Never"
"In the Mood"
These are just a few of that era.

I’m forming a 50s themed rock band. We play mostly early rock & roll cover songs, but also some hard rock, metal and punk. Are these names taken? If not, which one is the best?
The Desperados
The Bearcats
The Helldivers
Nick and the Thunderbolts
The Warthogs
Kingcobra
And can you suggest any others?
Billy is correct. They are the names of various US aircraft (except for Desperado, which is a Mexican film i really love)
At the moment "pwnNOOBZ" is the only one who has actually responded to the original list of names
Helldivers, definitely.
The Desperados is to Western Style, when people hear that name the mexican hat dance will play in their head.
The Bearcats is a silly and useless combination of semi-masculine animals.
Nick and the Thunderbolts reminds me too much of Nick Cave and the Bad Seeds.
Seriously, why would you name your band the Warthogs? Messy, uselesss animals.
Last but not least Kingcobra. A Cobra is a very common animal to represent rock/punk/metal bands. It’s overused and obvious.

I have narrowed the list to 8 possible names. Which one is the best?
The Desperados
The Bearcats
The Helldivers
The Demons
Nick and the Wolfmen
Nick and the Thunderbolts
The Death Adders
The Pit Vipers
No offence Sharon, but those names sound ridiculous
Nick and the Wolfmen.

We are hiring a band that plays 50s, 60s, 70s rock & roll, motown, doo-wop stuff. Anyone have a good idea for first dance song from 50s, 60s, and 70s?

You remember Story Makers don’t you? Jelly and Jackson and a random member of the Wordsworth family? Blue Cow? Well if you do, hopefully you can jog my memory. One of the stories that sometimes appeared was set at the bottom of the sea, with a 50s rock and roll theme tune – what were these stories called? It’s been bugging me all day!
Jackson and Jelly?
