Take and Give.. Sandy Brooks is singing lead. Slim Rhodes is doing the great, catchy guitar work. I think this has cross appeal to the 50’s Rock and Roll fans and rock fans in general. Very easily likable tune.

You’re preaching to …
You’re preaching to the choir there. I think vinyl has the best sound and the most longevity. If you keep your vinyl stored properly it’ll last forever. I’m only interested in vinyl. It’s been years since I bought a cd

yes.. i know but..you know i got hate cd’s by the time i was buying a lot of boxed sets. at that time i was also starting to buy some old r&b stuff albums, like those on jubilee, the innocents on indigo and that kind. sixty or seventy years old records that still sounded beautiful. so i remember a got a nice 10 cd box with the works of hoagy carmichael and.. gee, just thinking that in thirty years this is gonna evaporate makes me sick!!

1956 to be exact. I …
1956 to be exact. I do agree that this has elements of being ahead of it’s time. Even more oddly, Slim Rhode’s and his Mountaineers date back to 1932 when the band started. At this time this ahead of their time band had been together for almost 25 years. Sandy Brooks, the lead singer on this record, is much younger than the rest of the band I’m sure

c’mon–this wasn’t …
c’mon–this wasn’t actually recorded in the 50s was it? Am I missing something? This sounds oddly ahead of its time–if that’s a good thing. Either way, what a cool track!!!
