There is a sign on a lot of pictures that say "Rock on".
It looks a little bit like this. ^_^ It appears to be a person holding up the rock n roll sign. Could somebody show me a picture with one, or make one? Thanks. Sorry for being vague.
This is rock and roll.

Woman on shoulders of guy. It took me a while with the type of format yahoo uses, but ignore the periods they had to be used due to spacing problems.
Okay so I’m writing about how the Beatles and the Kinks inspired rock music here in the U.S. I already did U2 and how not only did they add to our rock music, they were able to give back to their charities and put a good name to the rock industry. I would like to write about the rolling stones next. How did the rolling stones affect the way we have rock today? Like, specific examples? Or if you can think of a better band as an example that would be great. A web link would be great. Thanks
well, The Beatles were really different when they first came to the US. They had long hair, they were very cheeky, and the US really hadn’t seen much of that before. One reason why The Beatles were so big was because people couldn’t compare them with anything or any other band, ya know? The BEatles were just different and one of a kind, they paved the way for a lot of bands.
Hope I helped at least a little bit = /
kevin johnson was his name
During the past few years, Kevin has done a series of sell out concerts at one of Sydney’s more famous venues, The Basement, with two old friends, Australian singer songwriters, Doug Ashdown and Mike McClellan under the name JAM (Johnson Ashdown McClellan) The concerts have generated such great reactions and critical acclaim, they are considering offers to do a few more around the country.
At the request of European leading marine biologist and whale crusader, Petra Deimer, Kevin wrote and recorded "A Whaler’s Lament" a song about a remorseful whaler who has come to realise the terrible mistakes he has made, and the song is dedicated to saving the whales. This song and the abovementioned "The Spirits of Old Sydney"’ are included on a new compilation "Songs from a Troubled World". available only at Kevin’s website.
Most recently, Kevin has released a DVD of a concert he did, years ago, at Sydney’s historical State Theatre, the last show in a national tour. This Dvd "Kevin Johnson Live at the State Theatre is a must for Kevin’s supporters. Containing 30 songs, running over 2 hours, and featuring some of Australia’s finest musicians.
I am auditioning for hair this weekend and I have to sing a 60’s or 70’s rock and roll song.
I am an alto and I can somwhat belt. What song would be good for me?
What about "Make Your Own Kind of Music" by Cass Elliot? It’s not too soft, and gives you a chance to belt and kind of suits the spirit of Hair.
Please no Thumbs down!
I think the horrible and senseless way John Lennon was shot down in cold blood was not only a tragedy for rock and roll but a tragedy for the whole world. It was truly one of the worst days of my life.
And impacted the social order of modern culture?
(I am doing a project for my rock and roll history class, and I have to answer the question above, and gather a bunch of information on the rock artist/band/genre, and put it all together to make a magazine.)
P.S it can’t be Elvis, Bob Marley, Eminem, or 2pac. Those are taken.
Led Zeppelin
BoB Dylan
Chuck Berry
Robert Johnson
….n u think 2pac and Eminem influenced rock n’ roll?WTF?
I know there might be more than one rock song with a trumpet in it but if you can name all the one you know, I’ll find the one I’m looking for.
I don’t listen to the radio, so i’m not sure. But you can try listening to Cake.
I saw a poster of the rock & roll family tree YEARS ago. It was a picture of a tree (when viewed from afar) but up close it was made up of singers/artists from the beginning of rock and roll. I believe it was called the rock & roll family tree. Has anyone seen this? Do you know where I can buy it?
I have a shirt with that tree on it. I bought it around 1989 in Arkansas. I remember they had posters for sale as well but I didn’t get one.
how many people out there ( off all ages, boys and girls) would go to a 50s rock and roll dance party. you would pay $10 at the door (which is way cheaper than a school prom) and it would go for 4 hours. probably from 8pm to 12pm. leave comments about any part of this. im thinking of having a dance like this so suggestions and comments are more than welcome.
lol. well its not a costume party its like a school dance with out annoying teachers and no age limit
Don’t charge 10 charge 5 and you will get more people. But other that that maybe you should charge les if they come in a fifties outfit!!!!
Rock and roll was originally played for people to dance to. It is a music that is very beaty, and when I was younger, I would jive to it. jiving is a proper dance with proper steps. It is not a matter of just doing any old dancing. In dancing Jive, it is the female who does all the work anf her partner just decides what movement to do. Rock Music isn’t really for dancing but more for listening to.
